LG G4

Ja, I have to sort my issue out now rather than later. I was overseas and had to do some data roaming for a short while before I got a local sim card for where I was. I restricted data usage on a per app basis within Android. Even though I later removed the data restriction on the same list of apps, they don't eff'ing connect on their own while on data, only if I open them to check/refresh or if I'm on wifi. So apps like Whatsapp, my email app etc just aren't giving notifications until I'm in wifi or I manually check them. Uninstalling and reinstalling effected apps with fresh settings hasn't helped. It's obviously a problem with an Android setting not being checked/unchecked internally, but I'm done with trying to figure it out. I'm starting fresh again and will never ever fk with data restriction settings again!

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Services. On the factory reset setting, does it have an option to reset all network settings only ? If you want to reflash you can find all stock roms according to carrier here : http://lg-phone-firmware.com/

Notifications working?

I've just started restoring again now. It failed to restore my backup earlier because my battery went below 30%. I put it on charge then prepared dinner, had dinner and I've been doing some work, now finally restoring. LG Bridge is on 28% of my 1.78GB restore file.

LG bridge has this weird "feature" where it needs space on the device that matches the size of the data to be backed up, so even if you exclude all media unless there's almost kitting installed on the phone it's almost impossible to do the backup?

Am I maybe doing something wrong?

Would appreciate if someone could lend a hand with this, haven't been able to backup my phone for a few months now.

My phone is on 20 of 32GB used and I don't have an issue. I include internal media as part of a backup because everything goes on my 64GB SD card anyway. The only thing that sits on my internal memory that I need to manually move/backup is my entire whatsapp folder (and Im not even sure I need to, but I still do).
I have found that the USB connection can be unreliable with LG Bridge. Sometimes I've resorted to backing up on the device using the app, moving the backup file over to the PC and then restoring later form there.
But I've not had the issue you describe.

I've had this problem on every backup, when I Googled it a while back I found lots of complaints for the same issue but no solution.

How do you run the backup on the phone itself?

Here's okes complaining about this error:

Tried backing up right now and got the error

Would having developer options enabled and debugging affect this at all?

Interesting. But S6 & S6 Edge were upgraded to Android 6.0.1 some months ago.
If I were still flashing roms on my Note 3 I would've had it latest by the end of the week that it released. But anyway...

As an LG user I'm just happy that we still getting updates...
