LG G4

My friend g4 has the boot loop now :(

Can he have it repaired still? think still under 2 years old.
What boot logo does it have?

If it has an operator logo take it back to a store of which ever network it is, the bigger the store the better, preferably one that has a technician on site because they know how the warranty via serial works and won't request pop, most networks don't need pop.

No boot logo, just looks like normal LG one.

99% sure its voda phone through.

I see someone people mentioned smartlab, should I contact them?

is the person who does local repairs under warranty for cpt it seems.

But I might not be able get it repaired, because the glass on the lense of the back camera has broken and fell out. They might see it as physical damage.

Will try the voda store first as I think it is voda phone.

the wife went into bootloop last week monday morning. took it to MTN allendale.
she got it back on monday this week and its 100% now. even the random wifi disconnects have gone away

Voda can't pick it up on system as it is to old. Waiting for papers from my buddy . I do have the h815p which means it does have the new board ??

As a matter of interest, what security patch have you guys recieved? Mine is 2016 10 01 but I see LG have published much newer ones.

What bs is that, if it's on the system it will continue to be till well past the warranty, that's why you need to go to a branch that is switched on, the guys are helpful and prepared to do a little legwork if necessary to help you.

I have booked in the phone at Mtn without any problem's. Waiting for the repair now.
So it was originally a Mtn device not Vodacom?

My cell c device had VODACOM operator logos because I didn't know that the device automatically loads the operator logos/bloatware depending on the sim you use on first boot out the box, I used a Vodacom sim on first boot..

Well, unfortunately it looks like SmartLab is not with us anymore.

Probably have to take it to MTN.
