Good day all

I switched to Rain LTE as my adsl has deteriorated from 4Mbps to 1Mbps
I'm looking for software that can limit the bandwidth to wifi devices which include cellphones and tablets. I'm using the Huawei B315 router. Thank you.

What router are you using? Does it having any bandwidth limiting features?

NetLimiter

NetLimiter is for a single PC environment as far as I'm aware, you cannot control the bandwidth of other wifi devices on the network.

I don't think the Web-GUI has a option for that on the device.

You would need to use a Mikrotik or PF-Sense device in front of the LTE modem to setup rules to limit speed.

I think a Mikrotik would be able to do that by itself. Split your WiFi and LAN networks into two different IP ranges and queue the Wifi range.

Necro.

I have a Huawei B535, and the Huawei AI Life app doesn't seem to support speed limiting for this model.

Is there anyway I can limit speed, singular or overall? Kids at home are streaming HD and Full HD on their phones, and our soft limit of 150GB is done within a week.

Necro on your necro.

I use Gargoyle loaded on a specific router I got from Amazon awhile back.
Its a more bandwidth focused OpenWRT firmware. This router handles DHCP of the network + Wifi

I've set a softcap bandwidth limit per device per hour, when it hits the specified cap,it throttles the speed just like our ISP's do for the remainder of the hour. Its very manual initially but once you up and running it works great

This is the device I got from amazon, works brilliantly
