Load Shedding - the all in one thread

I shed a load once in the morning and depends on what I eat, sometime in the afternoon. Its too random to really give you a schedule though.

got load shedding in th evening when none had been scheduled. it's useless
 
What gets me about all these power cuts is that Eskom is happy to carry on supplying power to neighbouring countries and turn off the local power. We really need figures on how much is being exported.

Frankly I don't see anything getting better until Eskom and it's shareholders start feeling an impact on their pockets.
 
Apparently it works like this:

The eskom site tells you whether they are in stage 1, 2 or 3. The schedule is then split into 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b.

B is Monday, Wednesday and Friday
A is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday

So, the below would mean that on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays Randpark Ridge wont have power between 0h00 and 2h30:

Randpark Ridge City power supply area Brown Stage 2A 10:00 12:30 Central
Randpark Ridge City power supply area Brown Stage 2B 00:00 02:30 Central


What do you think? Possible?
 
they never stick to the so-called schedules, there's really no sense in reading it. i could never make out that schedule anyway.
 
Well, my UPS managed 24mins this time.. it gets better each time!
