Hi guys, whats needed to setup a long distance (20k radius) wifi network ? would an access point and a strong omni directional antenna do the trick or is there more to it ? was thinking of setting up a free network so that ppl without internet access can access my websites, if its possible I'll ty implement where I'm currently at in Zambia.

Oh yeah by the way the laws are very lax, no ICASA regulations here.

Look at some of the WUG Kits at Scoop for Point to Point links.
You will need a sector antenna if you want multiple "customers" to
connect to your High site .

Lusaka is extremely congested in the 2.4 Ghz range like everywhere
else use the 5.8 Ghz freq, plenty of Mikrotik (Coppernet ..), Motorola Canopy
(iConnect) , Alvarion

Security is pretty much an afterthought

Cheers
Justin
