Hi all,

How long does it usually take for Telkom to get back to you once signed up on the wesbite for the new Wireless LTE Uncapped bundle?

I've been waiting since Tuesday now with no response. Got the ref number etc?

Still waiting myself since Tuesday. Would have thought it might be faster than this but I can imagine that they're overloaded atm

Just hope now with our ref number that we're actually reserved a spot? That's what I'm worried about.

After endlessly holding - On the phone to them now. She says once courier has delivered package (how long for courier?), you must call them, then 5 to 7 working days for them to install (for what that is worth :D)

Toys being thrown is something I can do quite easily actually if needs be but so far the takeup in my area hasn't been stellar from what i can see if the number on the site is right.

What stage are you currently at? Courier delivered?

Did you receive any prior confirmation/feedback other than signing up on the site? Or do they just randomly now rock up with a Router?

Wait, so, orders depend on how many people take up the offer at the tower? Is that what you're saying? My area has 146 left?

Yup, its 50 at R599 per tower, 50 at R699, and 50 at R799....

Signing up on the site may possibly achieve little or nothing (?)

After signing up on the site, I called them as I was not content to wait - it being Telkom and all. After giving ID number etc:

Me: Do you need my order number?
Telkom Operator: No, it doesn't matter as we just start the application process again.

See my reply to Flashgear. It may be best to call them so that your application does not end up at Lostkom.

Latest: She was about to finalise and then ... yup technical fault ... this is Telkom :D She says she will call me back to finalise (hmmm, right!). I said I will hold ...but she said nope she must speak to IT people etc - Sounds like applications are buggy as hell :(

10213. Approximately 20 to 30 mins hold time this morning -- but as I said 'technical problems' mean she has to call me back after consulting with IT team. I would say maximum 1 hour and I start again.

With Telkom the reward for being patient is likely 'sorry offer entirely taken up, reference numbers are not order numbers.'

So I will keep at it until they block me :D then I will start from other numbers ;)

Just use an adjacent tower if they all get taken up, they don't confirm the address with the website address.

They lady still asked me what the website said, was it R599 or R699, obviously i said R599 :)

Called 10213 this am - held for 45 minutes and gave up. Online chat with agent said 7 days to contact you. Called again now and they said they are no longer giving out the number for followups as it does not work. Of the 450 spots on the 3 towers in my area only 3 signups so far so patience is in order.
