Still no SMS. The Twitter account just keeps telling me they don't have an ETA from the sales team but they will make contact.

Business must be realllllly good at Teldumb.

Maybe we will also make it into Telkom’s Guinness World Record attempt. The longest wait to sign up for a Telkom product.....

My experience matches yours almost exactly. Been going round in circles since the 1st.

The frustrating thing is they never get back to you when you finally make contact with someone. Nothing, nada. I've spent hours on the phone, sent multiple emails to a telkom sales person directly, gone on twitter, live chat, etc. I'm very close to giving up.

I just called 2 days after receiving the ticket from the online portal which I applied for on the 1st.

Spoke to a lad, gave him the ticket number and he checked and said he would escalate, next day receive a call from another gent to sign me up.

Thereafter was hoping to get it over the weekend, but had to wait for debit order which went off on the 5th.

Finally received the product on the 9th, and sim was activated on the 10th.

Since then I am being bugged for the Antenna to be installed by a very eager technician.

Overall I had a total different experience from you guys, however I did call to confirm the ticket number, and I did use Twitter and Facebook to communicate with the guys each day. I think I was lucky to get the right people.

Granted one thing I did find strange is that the debit order went off on the 5th, yet my credit alert sms for a credit enquiry only came through on the 8th.

I'm over it at this point. I shouldn't as a customer have to sit fighting for a product they're selling.

And I just phoned them again. Now they can't pick up any order under my ID number. Yet I spoke to a lady 10 days ago, signed up etc.

WHAT A **** UP.

After the above Phonecall, the guy helped me go through the process again, yesterday I received the SMS saying it's Pre-Approved and the money will be coming off my bank account within 3 days.

Here's to hoping. again.
