How many games have you watched where a player will make an illegal tackle on another player, dive to gain an advantage, handle the ball, push the ball a few metres forward for a free kick etc, we've come to accept that of this is part of the game. I just find it silly that people are making a big deal of this one thing that happened when this whole tournament has been filled with cheats from various countries.
 
Cheating: Deliberately using underhanded or disallowed methods or tactics in a game or contest to alter the outcome of the game or contest.

Suarez is a cheat. He is on the Uruguayan team, therefore they are all cheats. End of Story.

Doesn't change anything... it's still cheating. And they all knew it. And their entire side and nation have accepted that he cheated on their behalf.

he broke the rules to get an advantage. I would have banned him for life.

Well, it was a handball and handballs are part of the game. What if Ghana had the ball and a player was free to score and a Uruguayan player fouled him? Ghana would have gotten a penalty and
the man would have missed it.

Everyone's acting as if Suarez is some boy who broke a window and never got punished for it. They awarded a penalty and the man missed.
Would everyone rather have a Uruguay goal in extra time from an offside position? That's even worse but far more common.
 
Come on Gary on that bases you would have to ban about three to five players from every teams starting line up for breaking the rules to gain an advantage.

Um, no. I think you will actually find that they are against the rules of the game. Suarez broke the rules to gain an advantage. Therefore he is a cheat.

If I sneak a chess piece off the board while the other player isn't looking. That is breaking the rules and that is cheating. You are saying that it's OK that he broke the rules, you are fine with it.

Fouls in the penalty area are rectified via penalties.
Handballs in the penalty area are rectified via penalties (And a red card).
By that definition, all fouls are also cheating.

Again:

And if that little boy maliciously threw a rock through a window? Would you still hold him in such high regard even after he received a smack on the hand from his mom?

And an offside goal is only worse in your opinion! In mine it is something that is missed by the assistant, and merely human error. In this instance everyone knows what happened but there was no punishment to suit the crime!

A red card and a penalty given against you is probably the worst punishment one can get. The Ghanian player should've slotted the penalty. End of story.

No punishment? Um, THE PENALTY which was supposed to get Ghana into the semi's! That's why none of the SABC commentators were angry at Suarez even complimenting him. They knew the man had to sink the penalty and somehow failed.
The african sabc commentators knew they deserved to lose when they couldn't clinch the penalty!

What fsking part of "no punishment to suit the crime" did you miss? Oh wait, I know, it was the part that said "to suit the crime!" Please, please, please I beg of you, put a little inkling of thought into the post you are reading and typing before you respond. I did not say there was no punishment with a FULL STOP after it!

And well done on missing the questions aimed at you in the post. Suppose you had to as they blew your little argument out of the water.
 
Now that Suarez is out, Uruguay are highly favored to struggle against Holland, any goal they score it will be precious.
