I don't think so.Does MTN also give a free charge pad with the phone?

Not sure that's even worthwhile.
Gimmicky.
I would just use the standard ac charger.
Also, what are the long term effects on battery discharge using the charging pad? I try avoid partially charging my cellphone preferring to wait for it to reach less than 10% before charging it to 100%.

My other gripe is the windows scheduler it does not allow constant tasks in the background, only periodic or resourceintenstive but comes with so many constraints. So from a instant messaging point of view it makes them no longer real time.

What about Whatsapp and gmail/email? Working with push notifications?
mine works, but whatsapp seems to have a delay. so there is a notification, when going to the app, it can take anything up to two minutes to update the conversation.
Mmmm, how are you notified of incoming messages if for example, the phone is locked and in standby mode in your pocket?
There is a sound notification, when you turn the screen on it shows you push message at the top of the screen. When that dissapears you still have the live tile indicating a new message. As syntax said though, there seems to be a bug in the app where sometime you need to go into the convo then back to see the message.
Users on Wi-Fi networks with no carrier data will often see delayed notifications, since the phone turns off your Wi-Fi when the screen is off in order to preserve the battery.
Fair enough.
This could be a deal breaker for me though as I am on wifi and Whatsapp 95% of the day!!
