hey guys

where is the cheapest place to buy a mac mighty mouse from??? wireless with the wheel thing on top???

any advice??

Thanks

Digicape I suppose.

Rather buy a normal mouse, the apple ones aren't very good.
Google them a bit.
My scroll "wheel" broke after a few months like many other people's.

It's called a ball :)

I havent had any problems with my mighty mouse over the past few years of using it.

But yeah - you can use any USB mouse.

Don't buy one. I have one and the 'ball' keeps getting dust inside it, you have to turn it upside down and rub it on some paper to get it to work again.
Apple may be great at making quality computer equipment but the mouse seems to be their 'Achilles heel'

You cannot use it for gaming as the right and left click is different to a normal mouse. It takes time to train your fingers to the new left and right clicking. There was also a problem with the wireless mouse disconnecting - I'm not sure if that has been resolved now with an update. There are just too many problems to justify spending all that money on it. You can get a very good alternative with the same money without any of these problems.

That's my problem too.

Yeah its that bad unfortunately. I also suggest getting a good mouse - Microsoft make some real good ones - i just bought a laptop MS Bluetooth one for R350. Really good. BTW I also have a Apple mouse - in the draw.

one thing microsoft make well is their keyboards and mouses, maybe apple should stop doing keyboards and mice, and windows should stop doing OS, then it will all equal out and each does their best :P

I agree the Mac mice are not so good I bought me a new one since the ball on top became faulty and the source of much irritation - Buy a normal infrared mouse instead.
D

I want one of those, what model is it?

Its the Microsoft Notebook 5000 v1.0 Bluetooth Mouse

Paid R350 here in Newcastle - works brilliant with my MacBook Pro

It has a switch under it to turn it off when not in use to save battery power. The clicks are really quiet which i love when burning the midnight oil. Don't know how long the battery lasts as i only got it yesterday. The downfall is that you cant configure the side button to do something, so no Mac OSX software for it.
