Makro Sinotec Full HD Special

Does anybody have the Sinotec Plasma? It was on special for R7499 at Game and sure it will be again and then I am buying it.

never heard of anyone complaining about poor after sales services from them, but we'll have to see, sinotec haven't been around long enough to really get any good idea as to how their after sales support is

My new one Bought at the end of January, a still picture burnt into the screen after a couple of weeks. This did not happen on the previous one that had the same picture for around two years displayed.

It would be obvious to me that the picture would burn into the screen.

Well I use a Sinotec with a PC - same wallpaper is used for months at a time - never seen anything burned in.

not even my windows Explorer icons (since I use it a lot) or even the start button/bar

I got that one, very happy with it. HD is awesome on it, and SD looks better on there then on Sony LCDs I've seen. Only downside is that it only has 1 HDMI port

But surely you have a screen saver or you use the screen a lot? From what I understand this guy used it to display one picture for weeks on end without ever changing or switching it off. Maybe in a shopfront or something similar.

I have only seen it at Game and Makro. No other stores.
Game also had it on special for R8499 two weeks back.

Maybe take a quote from Makro to Game and tell them you can get it cheaper than their current price of R8999 and ask them to beat the R8500 price from Makro.

I did that once on a Digital Camera and Game sold me the camera for R50.00 less than Makro
