Makro Sinotec Full HD Special

BTW: I showed game the makro AD and they are willing to sell it for
7799, but Makro are giving free brackets...

I've had my Full HD 42" for quite some time now, and yes I will admit that the upscaling engine isn't as good as those of a Sony or a Sammy. But when it comes down to it the price is great and the gaming is good on it too.
90% of LCDs are 60hz it has only been recently that they've started to go above this limit, also gaming at this is fine, I've noticed no tearing on the Sinotec when playing the 360. If it looks washed out then just simply fiddle with the contrast, colour, saturation etc... As out of the box it is waaaay over done and needs to be set right.

Thanks Lupus.

By the way...how is the GTX 285 for running games on a 42" monitor?

Not to sure sorry man, I use an ATI 4870, but from what I can gather it should be fine.

i've had my sinotec 42" fhd for about 7 months now. and i am as happ as a pig in ****.

for movies and hd content its perfect.

for dstv you can see the crappy picture we get from dstv.

i had it hooked up to my pc as well and gamed on it alot.
played need for speed, cod4 and 5, prototype ect.
and it was really awesome. just make sure to connect it either with dvi or hdmi cable, not vga, there is a huge diff between them.

on that note, i had a 32" hisense lcd and it was good as well. not as good as the sino.... but now its in someones else's house. FCKEN RDP SHOPPERS.

Thanks for your input, what graphics card do u use?
Does the sino have a DVI connection?

it does not have a dvi, but 2 x hdmi. I use a dvi-to-hdmi converter.

afaik dvi and hdmi is pretty much the same thing, but hdmi can carry sound as well.

ok, so i'll need an audio cable as well

i have seen alot of the new gfx cards has a small connector on it that you connect to the sound and then u have sound through the dvi/hdmi as well

are you using an Elite with an hd cable? ive just realised im being a bit lame...i need to give the hdmi cable a shot which i will test with my friends PS3.

i dont know...just in some games (GTA IV  , Bad Company) the refresh rate seemed to suffer alot and i couldnt help but notice it.most ppl would just ignore it but i guess im looking for the issue so i do notice it.

big difference between standard composite cables and the propper HDMI cables. the picture is way way superior!

GTA IV only runs at 30fps on the Xbox. You will notice the difference when switching from a 60fps game to a 30fps game (GTA IV). On a larger screen the difference will be more visible and all brands of LCD's will display the same fps.

ok but GTA looked terrible? or maybe i was doing something wrong (faulty Xbox)

I got an old Sony Plasma , only does 720p, and it looks freeking great!

doesn't your desktop look a bit pixalated?

it's a really low resolution even for a 22", never mind 32" or 42"
