Mass stabbing on UK train

No room to swing a bat but you're happy to fire a gun.

You are insane.
It's almost like you get off on all this.

Get help.
Lets say hypothetically there were highly trained undercover armed police on the train, what happens when the guy starts his stabbing spree?

I thought the implement wasn't the problem, people were?

When all the people have guns and you don't, the people with the guns will be your problem, not their guns.

Anyway, let's see when all the baddies have guns, shall we? Lolzers.

You're going to stick your head in the sand until a baddie with a gun shoots you? It's far better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have one.

Same as in a crowded church.

I guarantee you, everybody will be moving rather rapidly in the general direction of away from a knifeman, leaving a clear shot for several armed commuters without endangering each other.

No, I have better things to do than having to lug around a gun just in case some person attacks me.

Don't need the hassle and the bother, plus the risk doesn't justify it in the first place.

You ammosexuals are nuts.

Innocent people die, like what happened when the highly trained armed police shot the guy trying to attack the synagogue a month or two ago.

A gun has a direct line of fire. You don't need to swing it around. If the line of sight and background are clear, firing will not endanger anyone. It's basic firearm training. Have you ever had any?

Actually I was a licensed firearm carrier back in SA, so yes, I have to have had firearm training.

Did you know you can use a baseball bat without swinging it?

There's places in the world that want gun toting cowboys everywhere, and there are places that don't. Who the hell are you to tell an entire country how to live their lives?

Walking stick, umbrella, baseball bat, cricket bat…
No offence Dave, but you are going to do absolutely föķķöĺ in this context with your walking stick, umbrella, baseball bat etc...to a deranged person who has nothing to lose and who's determined to injure or murder you with a knife, this is not Hollywood...

Maybe by a highly trained SWAT team, not by your average civilian and certainly not by the average GV dreaming about it on MyBB.

Not necessarily, anything you are legally carrying can be used in self defence.

That's why hollow point ammunition was invented, to minimise the risk of over penetration.

I'm curious what exactly is the "hassle" ?

it's 2025, you're not lugging around a Brown Bess 🤷‍♂️ ...

It's something else to lug around strapped to you. And has to be locked away when not being carried. For what benefit? In case I'm pounced on by a ninja?

If I lived on a farm or smallholding in SA the hassle would be worth it. Where I am it absolutely isn't.

Where and when did I tell anyone how to live their lives?

Strapped? Dude who are you  :oops:

Why would it be locked away, it should be on you at all times, like your pėṅîs :p

Again 2025, you are not opening a bank vault to store or retrieve it.

No need to be facetious, yes a ninja 🥷 most definitely ninjas...

Wait what?
Did you not tell us a rolling pin is just as effective as a gun?

Again, an incomplete comparison. A rolling pin will kill just as effectively as a gun. Using one against a knife attacker in a train may prove rather difficult and ineffective.
