Well like your pėṅîs, if you were carrying a firearm it could also be useful sometimes, you don't whip it out, play or use it when it's not intended.

I think you miss the point of carrying a firearm, it's for personal protection, so yes it will improve your personal safety and the personal safety of your family members around you, and public safety in certain circumstances.

Not improve your life, but protect it, unfortunately you cannot outsource your own personal protection or rely on someone to do it for you.

I wouldn't say it's a pointless discussion, maybe one day perhaps you'll be slapped with a "wake up call", I do truly hope that day never arrives for you, but life and people are unfortunately unpredictable so...

What I have taken from this thread is that there are South Africans who have moved to the UK with the justification that it is far safer than SA, cops don't need guns etc. It appears that they are the ones who argue against firearms in the UK. It's as if they are justifying their decision and maintaining that belief.

Anyone pointing out the rapidly deteriorating and changing security situation in the UK interrupts them patting themselves on their backs for moving to the UK and provokes a vehement reaction due to the denial of illusions being shattered.

It doesn’t need to be Hollywood, Snekkie, a person can kill you with a single head strike of a heavy stick, they can blind you with a poke into the eye with an umbrella. Both can be done in a crowded environment where use of a gun would likely endanger bystanders.
