Sadly Cell C does not even have 3g in my area.
Been caught by Cell C and their great pricing move before, and then ending up wanting to throw my phone against the wall due to sh*t data and calls. Not falling for that again. My Telkom number being ported back to Vodacom on prepaid tonight (will use either the 79c tariff or Power Hour option if I need to make normal calls) and have just activated a 2gig contract on Vodacom to use in the second sim slop of my MEIZU to take care of my data needs on my phone.
I use Cell C LTE since the Gauteng launch last year, speeds are great and stable, but coverage map still is not updated.According to Cell C's coverage map, PE has zero LTE coverage and only sparse coverage of 3G. Wtf!
I really hope they offload all PE customers onto Vodacom's network.
Thanks, that was exactly what I needed to know. I feel hiding the primary functionality the page behind a hamburger menu is ****ty web design.
And no LTE or 3G coverage in my area either.
And the ignorance enters the fray again...No real point paying for the data if you can't actually use it very often...
Massive Cell C mobile data price cuts
Cell C has cut the price of its home and office broadband LTE offerings by up to 64%, offering some of the best mobile data deals South Africa has ever seen.
I hear Ockie constantly changing from Voda to Cell C then to Telkom (currently) but he has business relationship with Vodacom. It is why he always claims intention going back to Vodacom, but reality is that he cannot afford it.More over, as ockie pointed out, I cannot trust Cell C to provide a decent always-on service - bitten once before. Nevertheless, it's still great to see Cell C breaking the mould in favour of the consumer.
