I'm not surprised their sales are down.
I tried to phone Makro to check on cellphone deals, and most times the phone rings and remains unanswered, and if you do eventually get an operator, the department line ( media in this case) also rings with no answer. Eventually I gave up on Makro, purchased a new phone directly from Samsung. How a big organization can destroy customer confidence and loyalty by not having good telephonic communication is beyond me. I phoned Kloppers and the phone was answered immediately and spoke to a department sales representative in the same moment. Goodbye Makro your business model sucks.
 
This whole Massmart thing bugs me. How can stores with so much potential be so badly run? It's like they/staff/attitudes/company try so hard to chase customers away :thumbsdown:.
 
It will take them a while to recover from the looting and COVID shutdown. They have also invested heavily in solar power to be self sufficient. I would hold on to my shares.

Some of the worst customer/shopping experiences you will have...
Not been to either for a long time....
 
I see no one blames AA ? WHY NOT, THAT IS THE PROBLEM.
Shopped twice at Game Cradlestone in last 6 months . Both occasions the price at the till was way higher than on the shelf.
Both times cost me 20 minutes to correct.
Both times I was the ONLY customer in the huge shop !!!!!

Dont know. My experience lately with Game online was one of the best of the year price and service.

Courier had live tracking and communication.

Game in store seems like a Mini Makro more than anything else. A Kwikspar vs a Superspar.
 
I was in security 50 years ago for a year or two, shop assistant pilferage.
First thing I noticed when Makro Strubens opened was the free pass for bulk purchases at the far end of the store. Easy and quick.
 
The last 3 times I went to the makro in strubensvalley, i left my trolley and walked out. The queues were snaking through the aisles. And another one for these god forsaken slip checkers at the exit.

F off. I will buy from takealot or such
 
Bring back Dion Wired. Actually liked shopping there.

Game sucks honestly. Its terrible.

Makro and Builders with online ordering. And dion wired doing the tech.

Makro can do more affordable groceries.
