Metrofibre Issues

I couldn't connect this morning, will check tonight... fingers crossed it is resolved.

have had this issue persist for us for over 2 weeks.

very frustrating.

Initio360 says it's metrofibre.

We're switching to coolideas in the hope that it improves but I have doubts.

Wish my complex signed up with vuma.

Update on this: It turned out that the PPpoE settings were setup incorrectly.

Once this was updated, I didn't have any issues connecting.

One thing though mf needs to setup a proper portal for faults and even general Comms around network issues or performance

Hi what do you mean by this? Does fibre not use dynamic IP with no PPpoE? I have not been able to resolve website since last week and the ISP has done every test possible and cant see the issue. I cant even ping google, but when I connect to a VPN I am able to ping and browse most sites

Download is dead. Upload is still super fast... So much for fibre being more stable than ADSL...?

I’m on metrofibre, have been having the same issues for the past few weeks, cannot find dns, resolving host etc. no internet now also and got an sms that they are having a problem

Reboot router, took several minutes for service light to go green and still no internet

Last issue was a year ago, guess that’s the sla for home users ....hope we get some credits back or increase speed

This is insane. I had to stay at work to use the Internet because my line is down again.

Like I said, hardly any issues with my VDSL in 2 years.

Is this an isp issue as in metro fibre worx or the actual fibre provider

Hi there,
I'm in Fourways area. Metrofibre with TITC. No internet since this afternoon. Only came back for about 30 minutes at 18:30. Dead since then. All lights are green on router. No communication from TITC
On LTE via CELL-C for rescue
