Microsoft is upgrading the Windows command line

Here we go again. Before a decent discussion can be held around the content of the article, the MS haters move in, talk loads of BS based on their unbelievable lack of understanding of the history of computer software development.

Give up guys, we will never get these self educated IT barbarians to acknowledge when MS does anything of value .......

I use win daily, I honestly can't see their cli comparing to unix/linux/osx ever.

If you can't see that both serve specific and very different purposes while still having overlap then anyone that is on either side of this is the loser. This is the equivalent of watching little children arguing over whether a fork or a knife is the better eating utensil while I happily smile away using both and have the superior experience.

Why don't you guys fight over PCs and consoles next so you can highlight that you don't understand they serve different purposes too.

Very well said! Both evolved for very specific reasons. Both, correctly used and applied correctly do the job they are designed for. Both used jointly and in conjunction complement each other. It is not about one or the other.

1. Remember CP/M from DR? :)
2. Actually Linux-alike OS was born before MS DOS. It is called Unix.

So Linux is basically a copy of Unix? Very innovative indeed...

Yes, copying again, because that's all you ever did...
No innovation, let's just copy Apple and Linux

Shame you seem so uneducated its unreal. Quick, go reject another Amazon offer letter. :crylaugh:

Technically Linux is only a kernel and not a complete OS environment like Unix. It's development was independent to Unix but it's aim was to be Unix-like at the end of the day.

/pedantic comment :D
