Mind the speed ISP

So considering moving over to afrihost, I have this strange problem with my internet I assume it’s MTS. When I open a web page it just says failed like 5 times and then I have to reload and it works fine…happens like 20% of all new web pages. You think it’s MTS? It’s really annoying 2 separate laptops my wife’s and mine

Which browsers are you using?
Also don't be shy to send them an e-mail, they've been very quick and helpful to respond when I had issues in the past.

Might be a DNS issue, try using quad 9 or cloudflare as your DNS provider.

Let us know how it goes. I love MTS however the pricing on Afrihost does look pretty good.
I see no new pricing form MTS yet, see Afrihost and Rocketnet etc. all dropped prices. So if nothing by the end of the month I will have to give them notice. No problem with the service but they need to come to the party with their prices.

Yeah forgot I swapped routers and didn’t change the DNS (was on Auto) Seems to be sorted now! Agreed about the price though

How long would the process take, if we wish to switch service providers?

Very quick if the current ISP releases the line on time and the signup is done after the line is released. We place orders automatically via api which should auto activate a few minutes later once the order on Vumatel's side activates.

Mind the Speed just went down for me.

Tried contacting them via the following numbers:

086 999 0161
010 007 1288

Both time got the message the number does not exist.

I was in a Teams Call where I was presenting, when it went down.

There network status page indicate they have problems with Vumatel, but it seems only related to JHB, not Cape Town Edit: Relook it seems NLD CPT - JHB has a major outage:

Same here in Cape Town. None of their numbers work.

Yes, was also down for me on Openserve. Seems to be back now fortunately.
