2021 is relatively far away. This will likely be forgotten by the time municipal elections roll around. Intercernine leadership squabbles aren't of great interest to the large majority of the population. Once new leadership is elected, things will calm down a bit.

He's referring to a specific project which they started when he became a leader, which many within the party were against.

I suspect he's referring to this.
During the party’s 2018 Federal Congress, I sponsored the “Diversity Clause”, which cemented diversity as one of the DA’s core values. This was an important step in leading the organisation towards more inclusivity, demonstrating that the DA will never be a party for one race or one language group
At the end of the day, the DA has always been but a vehicle to pursue and further the vision. And I am still wholeheartedly committed to this vision.

Meh, under his control, the DA did nothing but lambaste the ANC and try create fear as opposed to actually standing for something - well that was my perception anyway...

The DA took Cape Town without him, and no doubt there are plenty of other people out there who can lead the party to new heights.

While it is obviously not great for the brand now, the elections are far off... and one man doesn't make a party, so all this panic from DA members is just that... panic

So non white middle class people will vote for the ANC of MBete and co or the racist ruinous socialism of Malema's EFF over the non-racial policies of the DA. That's a pretty damning indictment.


Personally I have more faith.....
 
He should never have allowed himself to be catapulted into the leadership position by the deranged/racist/bipolar gogo Zille in the first place. Easy come, easy go! But I like how he is showing them the middle finger. Fvck the DA tokenism and fronting of black people to gain a hold on governance ... A party so fraught with racism and corruption - makes the ANC look like angels!

The meltdown amongst the MSM is something to behold. Many exposed as agreeing with the ANC's ideas on race - they just don't like the corruption part.

Well yes the media was little more than propaganda outlet for the ANC up until the last few years of Mbeki. They were fine with ANC corruption under Mandela. It just went to such extremes that it made it impossible even for them to hang onto any credibility while still being in bed with the party.
