I'm trying out Moblin v2.0 at the moment. So far, I'm in a quite a funny combination of very impressed and very disappointed.

The reasons for me being very impressed are:
The OS loads really quickly
The interface is awesome

The reasons for me being disappointed are:
No Google synchronisation
Lack of apps
No integrated RSS feed that I can see
Mail not as well integrated as I would like

It feels like it has the potential to be a really great OS, but it needs to pick up a bit of steam and be more supported.

Moblin is still a beta product thats aimed at system developers. Its rather disappointing that there are no major Debian distros yet. Waiting for Ubuntu Mobilin Remix too.

Tested it on a netbook we have in the lab. Apart from the wireless not working (sort of expected), the most disappointing part for me was the lack of MP3 support out of the box (really wanted to blast a certain song).

I did, however, enjoy watching Big Buck Bunny while scanning through the morning ISA logs

The interface is cool and a bit different: it feels more like an appliance that can jst be used.
