MTN Black Friday Discussions

So they assigned 10gig once off.More then what I expected, irony is they still haven't fixed the missing night express, nor did they actually bother emailing me back. Worse then that is I have no idea what the expiry date of the once of data is nor can I use it first because recurring is being depleted, so it's pretty useless.

I suspect it will expire before I get to use it.Well done to whomever decided lets shut him the hell up :p
I am finally satisfied, and now consider the matter solved for the time being, till the next cycle.

It's called Dualism, it's a duplicate sim that has a unique number and can use certain portions of the data bundles(normally either only the base data or promo data) and minutes from the main sim.

I have the mychoice 60+60gb 299 and the dualsim is working and the call center activated the Datashare, though I haven't tested the Datashare yet.

Datashare will not work if you have dual sim. You cannot have both. You will have to deactivate dual sim for data share to work.

I must say, despite all the hiccups, this buzz is/was great. Great for us consumers. Great for MTN. MTN own Black Friday. Wish the other providers would step up.

Loving my new package with Data Share activated for 4 extra SIM cards.

Vodacom had great deals.
Telkom mobile definitely had great deals as well.

Vodacom: A8 @R99 with R120 airtime. A8 @R149 with R120 airtime.

Telkom had a Huawei P Smart + Huawei watch 2 (first 200 customers) with 100 any network minutes+ 1gb/month + their normal free me stuff. As well extra 10gb/month for 1st 6 months. R149/month

Will the data share recurring account be used by the main sim once all promo bundles are used up?

Presumably so. Without linked SIMs, the entire bundle needs to be accessible to the primary SIM. In terms of order of bucket usage, not sure how that works.

While technically not a BF special you could get the Samsung J2 core and LG K9 for R129, R110.00 airtime. Got the LG K9 while a mid range phone I am quite happy with it. Works out to R465.00 for the phone.

In other news night express data is being correctly depleted for me.

Did they send you an email or anything? I never checked this morning.
 
The 2.4GB promo data isn't being used yet. Has this been used yet for any of you? It has the earliest expiry date but last priority it seems...

Thanks. Been battling with this. I always get a weird error when trying to enable it.
 
If you have the Made4Me package with 40gigs + 40gigs night. Will data share work with the base package data? (Not the promo)

Not working on my end. Datashare does not work on made for me from what I can tell.

Seems like dualsim is our only option to share.

Wiz, could you send me someones details to escalate to? My problem is that after the contract upgrade, on the contract it reflects as not RICA registered even though on the RICA website it reflects as registered, I've logged escalation calls but there's no response coming through. Extremely frustrating, cant make or receive calls or use data .
