MTN Black Friday Discussions

the problem with sharing with a stranger is that he can eat most of the data :)

yeah dual sim is 2 sims one contract

im going to get 4 sims (2 contracts) :D

and giving my aunt one contract

Data share is only applicable to the recurring bundle, which is 500MB tops I believe.

I refer to it as secondary sim. Apparently the service is R 20 per month. I'm gonna get it most probably in the weekend. Please let know how it goes Nadir

I digress and call bs on my previous assertion that contract sims somehow have special features and that's why they charge extra for them because my prepaid sim/number was ported to my contract seamlessly, it was prepaid the one moment and then contract the next.

So the R136 charge for a "contract" sim is just a con, it's just a stock standard 99c Mtn sim card with a R135 mark-up.

Thanks Nadir! And the data works perfectly with the 2nd sim? 50GB getting used up 1st, etc?

Got my data did a test, I can live with this for my gaming

Highest I've picked up in Durban is 40Mbps. Anywhere is Durban with 60Mbps+?

I use a Vodacom and a CellC sim in a dual sim phone without problems

Vodacom blocks dual sim DeviceS ive read here and heard from a person using a P9 lite (from vodacom) that the second sim is blocked. If its the p9 lite cant remember for sure but it was a dual sim on contract from them.

Edit: i mean the dual sim functionality of phones purchased from them, not dual sim usage.
