MTN Black Friday Discussions

So I have 106:40 anytime minutes, 200 SMS and 266.67MB normal data. I presume that the minutes and data are pro rata?
Yes, just confirmed with the consultant that everything based on a new contract will be worked on a pro-rata base.

If anyone hasn't gotten a confirmation email/sms you can phone in and ask if it's been approved, I got my sms confirmation about an hour after I'd already phoned in.

Sigh, I also signed up for this on Friday, haven't heard anything yet, I phoned on Saturday to confirm only to be told I was signed up for the wrong package. I have left numerous messages for the sales consultant but haven't heard from her yet. Apparently no one else but the consultant that originally assisted me can now sort this out.

I called 808 and confirmed it was anytime data and I specifically asked if it's night surfer before I signed up for the contract. The lady I spoke to was well aware of which deal I was speaking about and directed me to the mtn direct number for upgrades

is the 50GB anytime data? or midnight crappy data?

.

Approved today.
Does anyone know what the terms and conditions are for the data? It's anytime data but is there throttling involved?

There's always T&C's...

Just for everyone's info, they are running for a Cyber Monday deal as well. It is exactly the same deal from Friday.

What's the call rates per minute/ per second on these packages?
Anyone know this?

Spoke to Mtn consultant, said it can't be tethered(hotspot sharing) and used in a router but can be used in a computer with a modem??

How will the sim know if the modem is plugged into a router or laptop.

Would confirmation on how the data can be used, I want to use it in router.

Also has anyone managed to get a dual sim bolted to this deal, has been mentioned you may be able to but might have to get the R199 deal with 2gb data to be able to get a dual sim.

Bot sure, but I'm just gonna put it in a 3G mifi then I'm all set

Hotspot use is allowed according to the mtn consultant I spoke to, "mtn to mtn data sharing" is not allowed though for that 50gb

I told my cousin to ask them about this today since she was going to place an order. She said that MTN told her that data sharing is not allowed but you can use it as a hot spot. I presume that they mean this service https://www.mtn.co.za/everyday_services/airtime/Pages/DataShare.aspx
