MTN Black Friday Discussions

I applied through MTN direct. He did say customers have been complaining that it isn't working. I gave it a try anyways. Phoned activations this morning and they said the sim is showing is activated but it's pending on the MTN network, give it the full 24 hours. Hopefully it works. Still showing as not provisioned on my side. Fuil 24 hours is in about an hours time
 
Nadir, when did your brother apply for it and how long did it take to activate?
 
I find it stupid that Mtn stops these functionalities. It's 50GB capped data. It's not unlimited. Let people use it how they want to use it. It's absolutely ridiculous that they give the promotion and the lengths they go to make it inconvenient to use it

They're probably bargaining on very few people actually using close to the 50gb per month

It's finally activated? Did it activate on its own or did you have to do something? And is the 50GB being used first, etc?
 
Thanks Nadir. I got the sim in an old blackberry. It still says sim not provisioned with SOS in place of the signal bar :( hope mine activates soon
 
If anyone in Durban wants a B315 router. Drop me a PM and we can talk. I have the non telkom branded one. It comes with the the booster antennas, I've seen a few that doesn't come with it. I just opened it a few minutes ago. I rather stick to my portable E5577 mobile lte router

i went into store yesterday activated it

now im not picking up signal on the 2nd sim
 
Can someone confirm this MTN sim works in a non MTN dual sim phone with another non MTN sim?
 
My billing runs from the 10th to the 10th of each month and so does the Inclusive and data allocation. It is this way because i had been on an old iTalk Cellular account which was eventually taken over by MTN.

Received my invoices today and all looks good (R149 per month as per cyber monday deal). No connection fee charged as i was promised by the sales agent when i had signed up over the phone on Cyber Monday. Prorata and month in advance billed correctly.MTN Invoice.jpg
