MTN Black Friday Discussions

Anybody seeing throttling on this deal, I got my BF sim in a B300 router and I am getting really crap signal fluctuations?

Throttling doesn't happen at the signal transmission stage, you probably just have rubbish signal or live in an area that negatively affects the signal, mist/rain/valleys/redneck next door doing illicit radio broadcasts.

My speeds have stayed consistent at 35mbit/s Lte

I have been getting excellent speeds - but it really depends on the time of day. When the network is loaded with users like at around 5.00pm - 9.00pm, my speeds are around 10 Mbps - which is still quite acceptable, I'm happy with that speed. Rest of the day it can be anywhere from 30 Mbps - 60 Mbps

So, either your tower is overloaded, or you have a weak signal, or your device does not work on the MTN LTE bands or UMTS bands

No drops on speed where my b315 is constant 70 plus speeds
 
How long do I have to get this new 50Gig deal? Or is it only for today?
I want the R378 one, but I cannot get proof of residence atm.

Apply today by the call center, that will give you more time to get the documents ready, you apply and then they wait for your to send the docs via email.

Apply online proof of residence only needed when courier delivers sim card
 
So guys sorry for trouble,an inconvenience I'm causing via this post,if you look up and previously in this thread you will see I had an issue,eventually it got a stage to where the store wasn't assisting me so I phoned 808 and did it myself....blah blah blah...I then opened a case stating why I never get my data as yet etc so they said a reply with 2-48 hours later I phoned 48 hours later and they say that I'm not on the right package but then the rep checks it and states that I'm on the right package....she then sends a email to the person who said I was on the wrong package and now around 56hours has gone since and not a single update has come....I honestly regret porting to mtn I'm doing the job of a store and still can't get it done any kind of help is appreciated...sorry for this long post

Please try using sentences,good luck hope you get sorted soon. My initial approval took 11 days but porting completed in less than a day.

My port took a mont(via the mtn store which wasted my time),which never worked and I then ended up buying 3 starter packs and did my own port.That took a day and on the 18th of jan,I got moved to the right package and after that **** happened (nothing at all)sorry for typing like this I am actually frustrated to my core...and Cba!
