Called in now for an upgrade and enquired about this deal, was told that this package was given in error to a few clients and now they’ve taken it off the system.

Can you give me more info on data share.

So does that mean I can send the 30GB non promo data to the second sim?

And the balance of the data 30GB(promo data) + 60GB(night data) with be on the primary sim

And will I be able to use the data on the second sim even if I have not finished the promo data first

You share rather than send data. If datashare is enabled and you link a secondary sim, the primary sim ( sim with contract data) uses the promo data first and the non promo data is shared with the secondary sim to use.

I must say, in 2016 when MTN offered their Black Friday deal I was about to move to another SP because of their high prices and price hikes. Also there were much better offers from the competitors. Their BF deals were so attractive that I was more than happy to stay and even complemented them on the deal. Unfortunately this time round they've made it very easy for me to leave. They are basically forcing you to take out another number or a new contract. I've had my phone for 2 years so why the hell would I want a contract without a new phoneand then also another number. BYE BYE!!!
