same story in-store - no early upgrades.

I still have a year to run on BF2018 deal so their solution was that I needed to get an entirely new contract, or do and add-on on the existing one.

Whats the number for retentions -personal? I wonder if there's any chance these guys will move from this stance
 
Guys please insist on reference numbers and consultant name when you are upgrading. Renewals are not being processed immediately.

they say confirmation turnaround is 24 hours
I phoned them now, they didn't offer me what they offered you.

I'll wait till monday and see if anything else comes up.
 
Sucks they don't allow early upgrade to this deal :( wanted one. Or migration, they'll only process the order on Tuesday, meaning R999
I have the same issue.
On Thursday evening, their call centre phones me and offers me some deal that offers me minutes, data and sms for like R699, but basically a migration to a more expensive package that ill be worse off on.
Then I see the black friday deal, go in store this morning and they say I cant migrate to it.
So how is it possible their call centre could migrate me on Thursday to their crappy deal, but on Saturday they cant migrate me to the deal I want.
Im contacting their support channels to find out how why they cant migrate us.

Phoned the call center yesterday and they told me to go into a store to get it done. If I'm going to be wasting my time I'm going to be miffed.
 
Well if you need to make a fuss, some where in this thread is ALL the email addresses of the CEO and middle management, escalations ect.

Not sure where in the thread but it is a post I made last year.

That said you still need to follow proper channels, before using the emails listed.
 
Wish that MTN can improve their after sales support before I would ever try to take out any deal from them; they are still sending me sms messages about a deal I took with them through Mondo but then canceled within the cancelation period.
 
I'm on the line now with retentions, she's "compiling " my package with the Note10 (non + ) with the sky package at R499. But it will be shipped and not in-store. Still holding the line now..
As well, you'll pay penalties if you do an early upgrade with sim only, the bill you for the rest of the devices term. Taking a device with the early upgrade will wave the penalty fee.

Another thing is, you need to be at least on month 20 of the contract ( 19 or 20 not sure ) to qualify for early upgrades.

Been with MTN for 11 years, 8 years i've always had accounts of R800-1000 per month. So i'm trying to use this to leverage or let's say force their hand.

Just wish i can rather go pick it up.

Oky, so call is finished, they can only deliver as they are doing this as a online deal and not in-store. They've apparently got it approved. Note 10 in Aura glow with the sky lite package at R499= R1299 pm.

Will be delivered latest coming Friday.
