They need to include more than 75megs of data with their contracts. If I can't get a contract with at least 500megs ill have to move.

Cell C is R15 per 100MB. So R45 for 300MB. MTN is still 120% more expensive. Still, it's a step in the right direction.

+ 1. They lost me as a customer because of this.

i have R600 just sitting on an unused simcard because i got it with a camera, however now i cant use it because if i swop sim cards no one will be able to get a hold of me, and its to much effort to tell everyone that the other sim is my other number lol.

Anyone know how many months and how much will accumalate? heard somewhere it stops at R600?

I'm still paying R50 every month for 75mb of data. So this is one missive fail. As soon as my contract expires, I'm going back to Cell C.

Yes I also went with a new CellC contract. Ported my MTN number and now I pay R95 for 500megs + a 100meg with my contract.

So still to expensive!

My 75mb in contract with calls became 100mb....

Why not use it when you call businesses, or your parents? Then you don't have to tell everyone?

Maybe it changed to 100mb, that might be the case. Still plenty expensive compared to Cell C's R15 for 100mb.

I don't pay extra for it. It is part of the bundle, with phone and airtime.

Why does MTN launch a promo and talk later? This promo has been active for almost two weeks now, voda and cell c always issue a press release before they launch a new promo or package

Okay, so I get all the negative feedback, MTN are hardly innovative and quick off the mark when it comes to price reductions... but as an ancient MTN contract customer, it is nice to know they've listened to customers about lowering data BUNDLES rather than just having 3G data-only promos like we see everywhere else.

It's also nice to know they chopped R50 off my bill for the next few months.

Now follow this up with a permanent low-price and I'll be really happy!

When a promo price is significantly more expensive than your competitors normal tariff price you have one heck of a fail on your hands.
