MTN expected to unveil new data services

better signal coverage and better data speeds even on full signal HSPA would be nice :-)
"EDGE" speeds in a 21mbps area is so last decade :-)

I honestly expect some nonsense "100Mb p/m then after that you get throttled to 0.0001Kb per hour" package. But obviously it will be advertised as a "100 000 FaceBook updates" or "10 Billion tweets" package.

hrm with the recent spate of BIS product launches that don't come close it's hard to speculate.. if they do launch something more suited to surfing and app data(well some commonly used ones excl streaming) at a fixed cost it will be a huge win but history till now doesn't favor it. Wonder if any network will offer something like this in near future?
 
If it is any good VodaFollow will have it in about 4-6 months
 
MTN R289.00 pm and you get 3gigz then throttled to 256kbps- I think good deal.

MTN R80.00pm 500mb then throttled to 256kbps

First they need to align their fixed cap data package prices.. 1 GB cheaper than 500MB, 2 GB "cheap" for only 2 months.
The should get with the program first, and only then start to fine tune it.
 
I am not expecting much from MTN. Their previous "BIS equivalent" offerings were so hopelessly off the mark. This is bound to disappoint too.
