Cool.
I'd like to see traffic reporting moving towards a goal of automated updates.
ie. GPS knows it's in a 100km/h area, 200 cars in the area are standing still, or driving at 10km/h, this info is fed to the server, and cars bound for that area are automatically diverted to less congested roads, aggregating the load on the roads.
Only new customers or those renewing? So if you recently renewed your contract, you may have to wait up to just less than 2 years for this?
What a joke.

Nokia Maps are doing pretty well and they are even more up to date than Garmin XT. Plus you get 2 years free navigation with Nokia Maps.
Correction - it depends on the device. an E71 has only 1 year included with the purchase, thereafter around R800 pa.
Gamin XT can be had for free with very little skill required. I have both and they did not cost me a thing.
