MTN-Sucks.co.za Website

Hey D.Dude,

You do this stuff on top of another J.O.B.!

They should be giving you a lekka chunk of their PR budget then. You & Pitbull & Snakepit do a lot more for the MTN image than any silly ad does.

LoL

Thanks bro

Yeah I'm a Data Profile manager I'm looking after Data Bearers and all products around that also look after general product qaulity as from this year so yeah not sure where I'm going to find the time to keep up on this forum the way it looks I'm going to have to hire some peeps to look after ADSL as I almost seem to be not managing it anymore and it's just become a lot more demanding in terms of my presence here I mean this whole week it's been a case of me going to meetings trying to do normal work then check in on ADSL and then see how backtracked it actually get's

Go to GYM after work get home make some supper for my wife or her make some supper for me then work until 22:00 - 23:30 go to sleep wake up at 05:00 get ready and come to work I get here around 07:15 and then do some normal work and then switch between that, meetings and everything else believe it or not I also deal with a lot of operational issue other that the stuff you guys bring up so yeah got my work cut out for me lol

But I love it I really do

We all do this in our Personal capasity...lol. We have normal Jobs too, I would love to get paid and rely to you guys all day !!!!!

Unfortunately that would never happen. Thanx for the Tap on the back It's good to hear we keep some users happy :)

I would love to just do MYADSL and get paid for it that would be my ideal job

We are extremely happy with what the 3 of you do, BUT 3 ppl, cant clear up a million people`s problems. That just not possible, and on top of that, most people dont even know about this site.

I couldn't agree with you more

But one thing can be said here - It's a start a lot more needs to be done but we'll get there I promise if it takes my own sweat, tears and blood I'll ensure some kind of turnaround watch

The biggest problem facing the mobile phone industry today is the fact that many of the staff are inexperienced and merely do the work to earn a salary , this is an industry where the people you employ need to be passionate about mobile phones and the manner in which they work , MCSE and the likes mean very little , it boils down to experience and passion to work in this industry.

Quite right mate, i loooove phones! i love em so much i cant wait for the next one on upgrade (4 contracts, woohoo!:D )

Mtn rocks and its a real sad day when i check people go set up a website to tarnish a company that really does try to make as many people happy as possible- show me an infallibled company and il show you my pet pig Winnie- she flys too by the way:rolleyes:

@ dotvibe Thanks for the vote of confidence, you guys are awesome the whole bunch of you:)

This attempt of the website to attack MTN is just lame...go spend your free time doing other things.

Though must admit the staff at the MTN customer centers in shopping malls are appalling. Was looking for a contract when I was a student 2 years back. I earned some money from my bursary company so could afford one. As soon as I told them i was a student they started treating me like crap. Even the manager got arrogant on me...they got esp sensitive and defensive when I quizzed them about Vodacom offers...Even told me to not even try to apply for a contract as I was a student. Sigh...what they didn't get is that I was earning a salary but anyways...their loss, my gain. I've saved a lot of money not moving to a contract.

MTN just needs to train their staff properly and treat every single customer as if they were the best. Just like the support guys here on the forum.

Thanks for the above derekc and I couldn't agree with you more this is noted and we are looking into way's getting our trainers to go across SA and train dealers we also looking at having a escalation process in place e.g. the dealer does something against practice then we look at invoking fines and so forth if you have all the info on the above e.g. which dealer you went to the person's name you dealt with and so forth I can send this to my Channel Manager of Indirect Sales and get him to start working on the above example

Good news :). I hope the folk here at Vodacom follow suite. Had issues on this side trying to port from MTN and decided after a week to stay with MTN. Our port figures are a little disturbing. (On Topic) That site is pathetic.

Thanks Datura

I'm sure they will as customer services has become vital in this industry and that's either going to make or break the network at the end of the day

The opinion

The biggest problem facing the mobile phone industry today is the fact that many of the staff are inexperienced and merely do the work to earn a salary

The truth:

The biggest problem facing the mobile phone industry today is the fact that most of the units are sweatshops, many of the staff are grossly underpaid and that they do the work to survive

What scares me about this website is the fact that someone who has reputedly designed hundreds of websites with , and i quote :"top search engine listing" , uses such bad english grammar.

Makes me think of my school days where kids would threaten other kids with 'big talk' and idle threats.

quote :"(Too busy but the moment when I actually start....) "

quote :"then they simply deserves a website like this. " underline added

lol, you think youve had problems with mtn? hope you enjoy your journey on the other side

15 years with mtn and NOT a single problem... what sort of person are you that attracts such bad service?

Had the same reaction from Vodacom when I applied for a contract. Only difference was because I am a security guard I do not qualify and then got the arrogance. But MTN gave me a contract the very next day. I spend on average about R800 a month on both my contracts... I am happy to pay every month as I pay a companny that didnt discriminate against me because of my job.

To Clive, Herman and Gareth

Thank you for all you guys do for us forumites.
