MTN's bombshell mobile plan now available without changing your number

MTN has announced several improvements to its SuperFlex package, including the ability to port in your existing number.

South Africa’s second-largest mobile network operator first announced MTN SuperFlex in September, offering unlimited voice minutes and SMS messages with a customisable data allocation from R299 per month.

I won't call it a "bombshell mobile plan" until these deals compare with their normal data plans (e.g. 70GB/m for R299) + and add voice at a reasonable price from there...

I am even considering getting a data only package so I can't receive normal calls on my cell. It's 99.99% spam calls anyway.

For Fsck sake. If they can just get their OTP system to work. I had the driver with me for 20 minutes just now. He requests the OTP and it delivers 5min later. OTP expired. I am sitting with 5 OTP's, and none of them work.

He had to leave and no delivery was done.

I took the 10gb deal for R299. For what I am gonna use it, it will work fine. I am actually after the unlimited voice for a business phone. The data doesn't bother me.

The people this number will be calling don't have data for data calls.

I was paying R1300 for a Telkom sim from a couple of years ago all this time just to have unlimited voice. Canceled that kak last week.

If they add unlimited voice for that price I would be all over it for my personal sim.

I am close, but there are a few annoying industries that refuse to modernize.

My medical aid still required me to fax them something up to 5 years ago. Crazy.
