OK, MTN isn't aware of any problems concerning their network (of course) but the lady I spoke to, who was very friendly by the way, said she will send through a fault to the network people / technicians and that she will get back to me as soon as she has any feedback. She also mentioned that it may take up to 24 hours.
Well, so now I wait...
Well ****... Searching on Google only reveals posts from 1902 most of the time. FINALLY some people experiencing the same problems as me on the same date, at the same time! W0h00! Gonna make a visit to MTN tomorrow seeing as this has been a problem for me for like 2 weeks now.
Speed is still bad:

Everyone here, if you can, please also phone MTN!! I think the more calls they get of people complaining, the better. I phoned them from a land line (Telkom phone) on 0831808. On their website it says if dialing from a cell phone it's 808, Now, I'm not sure if that applies to any contract / pay-as-you-go cell phone, meaning if you can only dial 808 from a MTN contract / pay-as-you-go phone or any other.
So guys, please, let's get phoning. Come Monday morning, I'll DEFINITELY be on the phone to MTN again if it's not sorted by then.
Again, I'm glad / pissed off to see that's it's not only me who has this problem, so it must be a national problem.
