MTN Uncapped services from 1 June

This doesn't seem to bad compared to what is out there. I pay R389 for my 2.3 gigs with Vodacom and when I hit the limit I have to pay another R389 for the privilege of using their network and when I hit that limit I have to pay another R389. Suddenly throttled for R750 doesn't look too bad. It is slow but enough for banking, browsing, downloading those Windows Updates. My speeds are slow enough as it is during the day. The last thing we need is guys using torrents on HSDPA. Can you imagine? Then everyone will moan about how slow it is.

That said I would like to see R100 a gig for full speed and I would like that 128 kb/s to double...

I was actually considering this offer until I saw this part is the techcentral article

The service will be subject to a fair usage agreement, the company has said, and will only be available on a 24-month contract.

Listen, it's a good idea. But to charge R 750 for that? Come on be realistic.
I would much rather then just keep uncapped from telkom and do what ever I need with no throttle what so ever. I like the idea of mobile Uncapped internet and I'll be willing to pay Sub R 800 for a true uncapped service. What they are offering isn't worth R 500 tbh.

The throttling is an absolute joke.

I mean to go from 21Mbps+ down to 128Kbps is just a sin.
 
This is an extremely useless offer. WTF R750 for 3GBs! and 128Kbps, what a joke... But a step in the right direction

Well a very tiny baby step in the right direction, But the last thing we want is mtn to think its okay to throttle subscribers for many years and still call it uncapped.
 
WTF!?! Its advertised as uncapped but you get capped at 3GB then they throttle you because of internet abuse. I mean that's what a fair usage policy is in place for..not so? I suppose its better than nothing but its like internet in the dark ages while the rest of the world moves at screams on at 1MB+ speeds.

You must be kidding me MTN...BTW...WTF does Ayoba mean....it drives me nuts everytime I heard that retarded word.

This is some sort of joke right? Sounds like all they want is to be able to use "uncapped" in their marketing. This is clear deception on their part.
I don't see how ICASA can allow this to stand.
