This is exactly my view on it.
 
Currently i'm paying for a 4mb uncapped account but downloading from the news servers at lightning SHAPED speeds of between 40kb/s and 50kb/s.
I wonder how shaped these 10mb accounts are going to be.
 
Obviously if you're gonna pay more for the 10mb, MWeb will provide lower contention rates. That's what I'm thinking.
 
Lol. I run a web service with servers in the U.S. and even I don't get 10mbps uncapped there. It's cheaper and far more efficient to get 100mbps with a 2000GB cap.

That's what I would do here: pay for burst speed but not for unlimited data.
 
You must have a s*&%load of money if you can justify spending R30K per year for a shapped line... :wtf:
 
What a joke!!! They will shape this into the ground, just like they do with their 4 mbps account. Sorry, Mweb, but who do you think you are bluffing! Give us true uncap and stop cashing in on your half baked services. I am so glad I am not with them anymore.
 
Axxess and Openweb were the first ISPs to launch uncapped ADSL accounts which were capable of supporting speeds of up to 10 Mbps, but these Uncapped Express+ accounts are rate limited to between 384 Kbps and 1024 Kbps during business hours.

Umm no, every single IS reseller that sold express accounts could offer this, there was no launch, it just carried your full line speed after hours which happened to increase
 
I would rather spend that R2000 for a unshaped uncapped 4 Mbit/s account from Mweb

PayPal is the future. PayPal has less charges than the local banks here, believe me. A lot of services require paypal, it makes it that much easier to manage one's finances. It is best we catch up to the progressing world in payment systems at the very least. In these other countries, it doesn't matter if a company is local or not, they accept PayPal hence increasing the customer base.

Is there no load balancing type software for those who have one PC, or one connection shared via one PC? Something like Routesentry but that splits local and international?
