Mweb customer - switch to Afrihost?

I just applied for my afrihost as well. Asked Mweb if they gonna drop their prices to match. Couldn't give me an answer. I'm very happy with Mweb but hey you gotta save where you can. R200 a month saving on a 4mb line.

gonna do the same next week ... maybe that will give mweb the nudge to at least match prices

+1

I said I was going to give it to the end of the month - were getting there and still no feedback from Mweb :(

I did the same ... and I am also disappointed with the lack of response from mweb ....
maybe we should get used to this from mweb in future, as the man that made the positive changes at mweb, has left ... so I really wonder about the future offerings from mweb!!

Glad to see so much positive feedback and so many people keen to check out our products and service. Don't forget you can get 50% off your pro-rata and your first month's bill by using this link (on anything except bundles):-

Trying to sign up for this but keep getting an error on the payment Page. After entering my credit card details and submit it just hangs. Tried credit card, and bank debit order. Even called the call centre on Saturday. But still no luck.

Sorted this out for you. Not sure how the error occurred, cos I just logged into your clientzone!

Weird :wtf:

Ok now that Telkom have announced the prices - Mweb its time to come to the party otherwise you will be losing another customer.

sent in my cancellation to mweb last week, and then I hear that it takes 2 weeks before they acknowledge the cancellation!!
I have never had this sort of issue with anyone else before ... why would it take so long??
also, I remember paying for 2 months up front when i joined, but not 100% this as I may be confusing it with another ISP ... does anyone else remember this??

I don't recall paying 2 months up front and didn't wait for 2 weeks for confirmation of cancellation.

I think what you may remember is Mweb billing you at the end of the first month for the first month and the second month in advance. I dont recall them charging double up front.

Hi lucifir

Cancellation requests are actioned from the date we receive it. For example, if the request was sent on the 20th June, we will process it from the 20th June.

I am following up on this from our side with the cancellations team. Bear in mind there is a calendar month notice period as per the terms and conditions you agreed upon.
