MWEB Gaming Feedback

Bloody hell, reading these comments makes me want to even forget considering MWeb for anything. Thanks very much. Was looking into 1Mbps uncapped from MWeb but now, I'm quite sure as a gamer I would not be well served. I am looking for a dependable service provider that is not going to let me down mid-game or for weeks on end. That's why I am moving away from Vodacom, I don't want to end up with a another unpredictable and unstable service provider thanks very much.

Well something is definitely on the fritz. https://trial.turbine.com/ddo.php?ftui=DDODefault& either doesn't load or very slowly loads some of the resources before giving up. Champions Online Free For All was laggy on MWEB before, but now not even the launcher will load, so obviously this game is being shaped as p2p and here I thought the game was f2p.

Edit: Tested on Afrihost free account and both work perfectly. This is the IP that Champions seems to be trying to contact, Remote Address: 208.95.184.119 Port: 7255.

Still waiting for the Game Master to get himself in gear and fix that. Only thing you can do is to open the launcher and set CO to use EU proxy, that will fix mweb's shaping of the game traffic.

Except that not even the game launcher will load anymore... :/
It's worse than I thought, I can't even sign in to PSN. *starts eyeing Openweb Gold account*

Still having major issues with steam constantly spiking around 700ms -1000ms. Tried using Mweb, Afrihost and Axxess all with same results. What should my next step be.....log fault with telkom?

anyone ever got responses from "the game master"? (deep dungeon voice)

between my friends and myself, we have mailed him and logged several issues, never got any response or feedback in the last few months, and we even take the time to detail the issues very specifically, specifying ports, traceroutes everything.

you will need log fault at telkom, it could be over congested exchange though, then you need wait for a upgrade on the exchange.

Drop MWEB Guy a PM with your line number and MWEB username and ask them to run a line test and get the congestion checked. Unfortunately as an end user it is very seldom that you will get Telkom's call centre to acknowledge any congestion related issues.
 
/cry... my joys were shortlived after an hour of raiding last night...spikes that made casting a bugger... swapped around to other accounts which helped some but no WTFast :(

If it happens again can you take a look at some commandline network responses for me please -I'd like to see what's going on at a low level when you experience this.

Nettest shows promising results. Can't we do something on the latency ?

Can't see if I can play CO without proxy/tunneling
We are currently aware of an issue with the account server. Please keep checking the launcher and website for further information regarding this issue.

...will test later on :)

Finally I could just log in without the use of some proxy or tunnelling. Patching was also really fast, game play seems a lot better.

My black ops is disconnecting again. Every now and then I just get theis network error on black ops. I have league match tonight at 19:00 so can you please check into it for me.
