Mweb Local Uncapped Trial

well, I am going to keep using it until it cuts off. I will then call them and ask what is going on. If they do cut it off... then I will be canceling this month. :)

I think mweb got a late x-mas bill from saix :)

If that's the case, I hope they nail all the users that abused their local accounts to the fullest :D

I don't see how they can implement changes without notifying their customers prior.

1gig international & 10 gigs local for R145.....Mweb you will loose many customers......

Does anyone have an official ??

just spoke to technical at mweb...will only be implemeted from 1 April if u have a note on mweb account page saying u used xx% of local cap turn off router and turn on again.

this DID NOT work for me- Frikken iditos

You guys only went for it because it was free... Telkom did it, then they stopped it, now Mweb has stopped it.

Get over it and pay the bill like we all do.

Actually, remember back to 2005/2006 where local only access was unlimited for all. Telkom took us all backwards with that one.

... and may I remind everyone that ICASA's ADSL regulations still stipulate that... “local bandwidth shall not be subject to the cap”. so as much as M-web and Telkom want to slap us for "going over our allowance" ... they should be slapped for not abiding by the regulator.

They saw people milking it and they saw a money making opportunity.
Then Telkom opened it up again, probably to attract people and then cancelled it again once they had the customers.
Mweb probably organised the same thing and now have cancelled it (probably due to paying the bill) or they have gotten the customers.
The only place where you can go crazy and know the bill you will pay is Neotel and even that is not working properly yet.

Stop threatening to move (most people) and just pay the bill, you can't always find AMAZING bargains... things will happen and you'll probably just bounce from ISP to ISP.

This is the typical SA consumer attitude. Just take what they give you and be happy.

So what if people bounce from ISP to ISP - why shouldnt they? Mweb is an expensive one (R299 for 3gb) even compared to Telkom (r239 for 3gb).

I will bounce from ISP to ISP with all the glee and gusto I can muster! My loyalty is to the cheapest! :D
