MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 2

Funnily enough my Web Africa account just died and Mweb is working again :D
 
I think the issue might lie with Telkom, as my Lantic died when I was reading about MWEB crash for Dota 2, MWEB site, and saw service was down here. When Lantic crashed swapped to MWEB and was able to use.

Confirmed with 3 other Mweb users. Lagging all the same whereas other ISPs are fine. Checking a game now with Afrihost

Edit: My Gmail emails are also not coming through.. MWEB emails also not through since early hours this morning!

Had Netlimiter running to check if something was using the bandwidth but the only things using any bandwidth were Teamspeak and LoL which totaled 6kBps down and 3kBps up. So I'm pretty sure it is not my side.

I play Guild Wars 2 without any issues so it seems to be isolated to LoL.

Morning Guys, I will ask our gaming team to do some testing of League of Legends for you.

Let me know if your problem with LoL continues today though...
 
I had the sam issues with youtube yesterday afternoon, Could not stream anything, even at 240p.
 
Hi Mwebguy, I know it's a Telkom problem, but please please please could you get someone at Mweb find out more about the outage in edenvale? It's ridiculous that other outages are closed within 24 hours, and this one has been open since Friday, and there was actually one from the previous day too!

Hi reactor_sa

The issue in the edenvale area is linked to a Network Fault. Telkom are working on this and we don't have a ETA on the resolution.
 
I've also been having issues with League of Legends ever since the Seacom outage. I get ping spikes and my ping last night was 270ms. Prior to the seacom outage my ping used to be constant 220ms.
 
Im getting a little concerned about Mwebs dealing and approach to torrents.
Yes its the primary source of pirating etc. But torrents is also a ligimate protocal (much like FTP) etc for means of file transfer etc.

You do not have to look far in Linux distribution etc using torrents as means distributing their software.
And now with Dropbox's new client (although I believe its still alpha) it will be interesting and the impact Mweb has on its performance.

Browsing has come to a complete stop. I cannot play League of Legends at all, spikes to 1000 ping and tons of packet loss? What is going on... Really disappointed in MWEB's service lately! Please help!

Please do a traceroute to a local and international site so that I can have a look at what is happening. You can PM me the results.
