That's correct. Yes, you can downgrade to e.g. 1GB no frills account: http://www.mweb.co.za/productspricing/2/Home/adsl3g/CappedAdsl.aspx

Would you like me to arrange for a consultant to contact you and assist with the downgrade?

It's okay thank you, I will contact during the week, and sort it out.

As for the reason, it's purely financial - I think what I may have to do is go for a 1mbps account and line again. :sick:

MWEB itself, I have always been perfectly happy with.

Youtube videos are loading very slow. They dont seem to be using 100% bandwidth to load, only maybe a quarter of my line speed.

Everything seems fine on the line and account. I re-authed the account, power down the router for 5-10 minutes and test after that.
 
Trying to upgrade from 2mb to 4mb premium, Holy CRAP the customer service is pretty horrible, its like 40 minutes after the so called "upgrade" and speedtest.net still flags it 2mb.

Ironically, the Telkom upgrade of the line from 2mb to 4mb took a whopping 10 minutes...

Torrents speeds are not guaranteed and is given the lowest priority on our network.

Are other services affected? Browing, etc?

I understand its given lowest priority, but for a 200mb file to take almost a full day to download? Thats not normal on a 1mb uncapped account, especially given that this speed has been consistent for almost the whole week.
