MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

WTF mweb I get an email out the blue I dont abuse my line I use netflix instead of dstv so your basically telling me to stop watching tv and only watch it a little bit, @mwebguy please send cancellation forms.

Ey MwebGuy you guys really opened up Pandora's Box lol, mweb was even a hot topic at work today.

You just should've upgraded your network like all the other ISPs do instead of chasing everyone away or I guess mweb is chasing profits ?

It's been a while since I had to torrent, and it is absolutely crawling at 3kb, goes at full speed on unshaped Axxess account - just made sure. (Did not get a letter...) Anybody know at what time torrents get unshaped? Youtube / HTTP / pings has been awesome anytime of the day lately, so I have to give credit there. Just hoping torrents still get a chance eventually.

1Mbps Uncapped ADSL is a Premium ADSL service, seems slower and not so premium than what speedtests says...

The thing is... the following ISPs had their limits clear, I know because I was with both Afrihost and WebAfrica while they had rolling windows implemented. Its not ethical to say stick to a limit, but you never give the limit. Why? Because you can always change that limit to suit you and not the other person.

ISPs that had rolling windows with clear limits: (Of course there is others who also had their limits clarified...)

Some of those "1.5TB" abusers:

IMHO I agree with DJ... and mweb should be boycotted as much as possible. They much like Microsoft with the xbox one wants you to just stomach it because it is good for you.

MWEB Guy,

Could you please sync us at 4mb? I can't seem to find my modems stats.

Thanks Oliver

We are alive? I am sure glad I am not in your shoes with all the negativity (for good reason) going on!

Just a question MWEB Guy, will our line ever be routed through the local MSAN in our area? Or possibly our cabinet be upgraded to a UMC or MSAN? We are near "Crestwood Drive 40, Lone Hill Extension 9, Fourways".

Thanks

Oliver

No offence, but MWEB Guy is just a representative on the MBB forum... You shouldn't take the mickey out on him, it isn't fair! Rather call in and talk to a manager if you're so angry...

Not cool bro, we don't need to resort to personal attacks here.

That's something only Telkom can decide on.

They normally only allow requests such as that to occur when the client is having a problem on his line or current exchange.

I'm sorry but I think a ROFL!!! is justified here... :D

I as a MyBB Forum member and Mweb Premium Uncapped user would also like to express that MWEB Guy should continue as is with MWEB support related queries and that ADSL consumers should not express their MWEB AUP (incl. FUP) amendments negativity against his representative support role.

The unethical case however should be answered by MWEB in detail as they already made a public relations statement here on MyBB by Derek Hershaw reasoning behind the decision. He have some serious explaining to do and I sincerely hope that the advertising terms and standards utilised by MWEB will be questioned, this also with their T&C’s (and all related polices) overwriting their very own marketing campaigns. Also having two uncapped packages (Uncapped ADSL / Premium Uncapped ADSL), since their amendments will basically render these account usages and limits the very same, this can’t be challenged by MWEB since the consumer do not know the variables. The Fact that the MWEB Uncapped consumer may not be made aware in any measurement tools to establish the 30-day parameters is highly questionable. I’m sure that a user (party) may agree (contract) to changes without notice but that he/she should know what the changes entails in detail and when the amendments were made.

Furthermore, I would like MWEB Guy to continue his outstanding role here on MyBB and being the MWEB FAQ, but that MWEB management should not think that this unethical case will simply blow over.
