Hang on!! My 10Mbps CAPPED account is R719 pm? What am I missing here? Whats the difference between the uncapped and capped besides , well, the cap?

Hi Drifter, the main difference between the two is the 1 is capped and the other is uncapped.

The capped accounts and uncapped accounts are are shaped differently.

Hi Drifter, if you are going to do the bulk of your downloads after 12 in the evening then I would think the uncapped account should work well.

You can upgrade your account to the uncapped then test it and if it does not meet your needs if not you can always go back to the capped account

MWeb, I read, or perhaps dreamt, that soft caps were being reviewed on the uncapped standard accounts. Is this so?

Either way, what is the soft cap on the 2Mbps and 4Mbps uncapped standard accounts at the moment? I've got them at 70Gb and 110Gb.

Next question if I may. I am running close to the 70Gb 30 day rolling amount on my 2Mbps uncapped. I am considering upgrading to the 4Mbps service not for the line speed (my 2Mbps line is with Telkom but I may consider a move to you) but the higher cap. If I did when would it take effect and when would I enjoy the higher cap from?

If you do the upgrade now then at the end of this month you will be invoiced for the pro rata costs

We Currently have:
Telkom Faster ADSL up to 4 Mbps R299.00 pm
MWEB 4Mbps Premium Uncapped ADSL Data Only R539.00 pm
R838 pm

Other options:
MWEB 4Mbps Premium Uncapped ADSL Data + Telkom Line (MWEB Managed)
R769 pm

MWEB 10Mbps Uncapped ADSL Data + Telkom Line (MWEB Managed)
R899 pm

Strange. I updated a family member's account a month ago, from 1 to 2Mbps uncapped, and it was all done online. I definitely didn't phone anyone.

I did my own that way but it was a fair while ago.

Yes also on mweb. looks like just with Call of duty: Advanced warfare so far. I must say torrenting is also non existent
