MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Our connection has been dreadful the last few days in Pretoria, my line is suppose to be 2mb, if i check the modem it say the following " Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 210 / 583" does this mean my line is not syncing at 2mb?

I tested your line and I see it is only syncing at 583kb.

As your line is directly with Telkom I suggest you call them to investigate

Yeah I though that was the problem, just wanted to make sure.
Since joining mweb our Internet has been nothing but amazing =)
If I port my line to you guys in the future, is this a problem you would have been able to fix?

If your line was with us then I would have had the rights to try and sync the line back to where it supposed to be

Hi MWEB Guy

My FON router is still at firmware version 10.5.G.4 and it does not show the public AP's. I have FON enabled, but my wife (who is currently in Belgium) says she cannot connect to the FON network.

Do you have any ideas?
Andre

and there should be notification to my cellphone which is my preferred method of contact around any changes to your services which you failed to notify your clients.

So, since you determined that you can change the services at will, i will change the terms and conditions and cancel immediately.

MWEB has this on record. if money is taken out my account i'll see you tomorrow morning first thing, make sure the police are there as i'll take more than my pound of flesh as i warned you over the phone, do not steal from me.

see you later.................i did warn MWEB.

If i wanted to move my line + internet package to MWEB as of the 1st of December, i.e. have EVERYTHING up and running on the 1st of December with MWEB. What would be the best way to do this? I currently am paying for a 4mb uncapped account with line rental with afrihost. I say "paying" because im not getting this. Dont want to sit without internet for a week while things get transferred.

Hi Lostears

What you will need to do then is to contact Afrihost to move your ADSL line back to Telkom.

You can then let me know and I will arrange for a sales consultant to contact you in order to assist

So there is no way to have it just migrated straight to mweb? Telkom dont operate during normal hours, let alone during the festive season :(

Unfortunately the line will have to go to Telkom first.

Is Durban in the junk again because I am getting pings in the 100's and latency through the roof. Other accounts behaving normally.
