MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Hi Mweb guy, tried cancelling this morning however it's been 2 hours and still no calls back after being promised they would call me back.

Just cancel online. It is on the website, that's what I have done. Will shift to another ISP, come November.

What is a 'news server' that its so important people are leaving mweb over it?
I don't understand.

The reason for news servers is that we do not have use international bandwidth rather just connect to the ISP servers.
Which making downloading much easier and you can also automate it with programs such as sickbeard and couch potatoe.

But I will be leaving mweb as well since they no longer offering the news servers cause I noticed that my stuff are not downloading.

So sad been good but time to move on now.
 
Having serious latency issues on WoW. In Cape TOwn

Troubleshooting with Support on 087 700 0777 will help to rule off possible causes for performance issues on your end. To get a head-start on the process, you might want to isolate the connection before you call.

That is, disconnect all other telephonic devices from the line and also every end-user device from the modem (includes disabling the wireless function within the modem web interface). Then, ensure you connect the modem to the line with the shortest cable you can get your hands on, and that you're connecting via cable (not WiFi) and let us know how you go.

So after getting home and spending just over 3 hours trying to log onto destiny, i thought ok ill try another ISP as you suggested. loaded my afrihost 1gb account up and logged straight into destiny, no problems. played for the entire 1gb of cap and now i put my mweb account back on and ive been stuck at an error logging in for 30 minutes. i assume its ISP related by this, but a friend is not having the issue nearly as bad as me with mweb. Possibly something specific on my account?

I managed to get them to cancel, however now they want to bleed me for another month so i blocked the debit order so maybe get someone senior to call me on my cell, you have it on record now.........

There is a 1 Calendar month notice period for cancellation.

MWEB Guy can you please double check that my line is not bundled with my account, I just asked Telkom on Twitter and they said it is with my ISP not them.

If November 1st rolls around and my line and everything is cancelled and I have to order again as if I never had ADSL I am going to be very upset.

and there should be notification to my cellphone which is my preferred method of contact around any changes to your services which you failed to notify your clients.

So, since you determined that you can change the services at will, i will change the terms and conditions and cancel immediately.

MWEB has this on record. if money is taken out my account i'll see you tomorrow morning first thing, make sure the police are there as i'll take more than my pound of flesh as i warned you over the phone, do not steal from me.
