MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Hi!

We're on a SMALL BUSINESS UNCAPPED PREMIUM - 10MBPS package, located in Constantia. Last week our internet went down for a day, right as we were about to leave for a business trip. This week, upon returning, our line is running at 1/10th speed:

No settings,routers etc etc have been changed on our side. Anyone else in the area having similar problems? Considering that this must have persisted for a week while we were away, I would suspect it's a problem on our line specifically.

I see that a consultant assisted you earlier with your Data only account and found that your Telkom line speed is not on the correct sync speed.

Consultant advised that you bring it to the attention of Telkom. Have you made contact with them in order to get the speed sync resolved?

Isn't the point of paying this much extra for a premium small business account the fact that our line is being managed by MWEB so that we do not have to deal with Telkom ourselves?

We'll be trying to contact Telkom but this could take days to resolve, while our business suffers due to poor internet.

Are you sure that your line definitely managed by MWEB? MWEB Guy suggests otherwise.

Hi Mwebguy, Any way for me to report a congested exchange? Parow has been struggling between 5-12pm every night.

Mine is back to normal this morning, so seems to be a capacity issue on the MWEB or Telkom side.

No issues with capacity on our end; the account re-auth might have fixed it as well. Best to contact the provider who manages your DSL line to recreate your port in the future.

We've contacted telkom and been advised that "a technician is attending to the issue". It's been over a week now, with our 10mb line running at sub 1mb speed. This is costing our business dearly. Is there any other recourse for us than praying to the telkom gods?

Hi I am not aware of any speed related issues currently.

And here we go again - PE to Cape Town , adsl is up, pppoe is up but going nowhere.

And again 10 minutes later.

I'm having issues with downloads from windows update and torrents. Going slower than usual and tested from our mweb business account at work and everything is 100%. Just funny that even a simple windows update directly downloaded via HTTP is going slowly. I download at 25KB/s
