Thanks Mweb for unthrottling me over the last three days so I could give your network a righteous good rogering. Break up sex is the best.

It's probably because it's not a sticky like the other ISPs threads. And that throttle feedback seems to be what people are using currently.

Hi Snowolf

Can't you connect at all? Does the status of the account in My Account show throttled?

Please provide me with your MWEB email address.

Hi greywolfe

Our lowest product option is the R29 p/m

mweb guy:

i've seen folks on the forum suggest you go to an email only account.

this leads me to believe that you're suggesting the email only account is /more/ expensive than the capped 1gb account you linked me to?

it's /possible/ to move to email only, as per evidence here:

MWEB Guy has convinced me to stay a few more months with his great help and friendly service (company is lucky to have him), but I think I've finally hit my wits end. Giving it one last chance and I'm gone.

1 meg uncapped:

Dialup would be preferred at this point!

It's also interesting to see how bad the sentiment is in this thread compared to the other ADSL discussions.

Left for Afrihost. Cheaper, faster - my word. i've NEVER experienced those speeds with MWEB. good riddance. I've also done my part in telling anyone about MWebs deceitful, untruthful, rotten, rubbish service and tactics and to cancel their accounts even if they havent experienced problems - ive got even wireless contracts to cancel - hahaha. I've had plenty of discussions on FB, at work and with friends. I told you M-dWeebs - you f^kd with the wrong group of guys. morons! i will continue doing this as well. Afrihost got a free marketing agent because of the silly shtheads working at mw.

Hi MWEB Guy,

I requested to be downgraded to 1gb for R29 per month about a week and a half ago. I then received and email saying that I had requested to be cancelled? I still want my email. Secondly, I was billed yesterday for R539 for October month? I should only be billed R29? Please help, I want my money back, I am not paying R539 for 1gb.

Hi oliverwww

I checked your account and see that you have requested the downgrade on 21 September.

The downgrade will only take affect 1 October and any Billing adjustments will then be made. If you'd like, I can arrange for a Billing consultant to contact you and explain in detail.

Yes please, although I get billed in advance, so I have already been billed R539 for the connectivity of October. I should only have been billed R29

Farewell M Web, thank you for the Rudi Jansen days. I now have a useable uncapped ADSL account that costs less than I was paying.
