MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Mweb guy - you got PM - need some help with downgrade and cancellations - hopefully you can help! Or am I on my own here guys?

It's easy
1) Phone MWEB, ask them to downgrade you to a 1GB capped account.
2) Ask them to send you the cancellation form or use this form and email it to [email protected]

You'll still pay for next month's usage but it'll be about R29 for the 1GB account.

From 1st September you'll be on 1GB capped, then make sure you put a hard cap on your account so you don't go over 1GB and get a nasty shock.

Done.

Kindly provide us these limits. You keep on saying keep withing the limits, but you forget to give us the limits.

If you need an example this might help:

134GB at 1Mbps (throttled to 512kbps thereafter)
268GB at 2Mbps (throttled to 1Mbps thereafter)
671GB at 5Mbps (throttled to 2.5Mbps thereafter)
1,324GB at 10Mbps (throttled to 5Mbps thereafter)

ISPs that had rolling windows with clear limits: (Of course there is others who also had their limits clarified...)

Some of those "1.5TB" abusers:

IMHO I agree with DJ... and mweb should be boycotted as much as possible. They much like Microsoft with the xbox one wants you to just stomach it because it is good for you.

International MWEB speeds extremely slow!

Uncapped ADSL 1024-Bus Solutions

Hi MWEB Guy. Could you please help?

We've been experiencing extremely slow ADSL speed for the last last 3-4 weeks. It's so bad it's almost become to being completely unusable - we've temporarily switched to Vodacom. Local speeds are OK, but useless, as we need international which is near dead!

Our connection is Mweb's Uncapped ADSL 1024-Bussiness Solution.
As said above, it's only international speeds that are extremely bad - YouTube used to stream at a steady 360p now it auto sets down to 144p and it can't even stream at that speed anymore!

It's getting very frustrating!!!

Hi Demeter

I do see your concerns with the results you provided. There is no reported issue with international traffic.

Please can you PM me the MWEB email address or username so that we can have a look from our side.

Thanks Soul Assassin, I'm just wondering why only international is so slow and local isn't affected as much?
If it's because of our exchange being congested wouldn't that affect both international AND local?

Yeah, exchange congestion would cause issues on both local and international, regardless of the ISP you use.

It's easy
1) Phone MWEB, ask them to downgrade you to a 1GB capped account.
2) Ask them to send you the cancellation form or use this form and email it to [email protected]

Done.

Thanks Nihilist! First part DONE! Now I just need to cancel the account. Tell me - are there seperate cancellation forms for a normal and business ADSL account or are they all the same? Because I have one that's asking for "Company name". Just making sure, as I don't want to fill this out and find that they can't process it!

They emailed me the business form.
I used the form from the link I gave you and it went through fine.

@Necuno How many times are you going to post that?

It's a public forum, we are allowed to post whatever we want going by reasonable and of course this. If you have issues with my post

A) Don't read it
B) At least supply a reason

At what point does it become spam?

And B) Because MWEB will never ever post these limits.
