Morning, we both know you did not just download gaming traffic the past 30 days.
Clients seldom move 100gigs worth of games on a 1MB account.
We do throttle on total usage used over a 30 day rolling window. The usage includes gaming traffic.
However when you are not throttled, your gaming experience is outstanding.
Do you know what a humble bundle is? Let me explain. Game manufactures bundle a whole bunch of games and sell them for charity. The cost is plus minus $1 but can go as high as $6 if you choose to take the more modern games they include in the bundle for a little bit extra. I did take one with the more modern games and one without. In addition, the month before that I bought another one with games range from Battlefield 3, Sims 3 to many lesser known titles.
Once purchased you download them via steam.
So at the cost of roughly R70 I added 20 plus games to my downloads. Legally purchased and owned by me. I used your services to download them, so yes when I say without doubt 95% of that 140gb was gaming related I am not a liar, I am not making it up nor do I find the fact that you have to insult a paying customer funny. I understand you must tow the company line with regards to everyone who abusers our internet is actually a thieving internet pirate downloading torrents. However, in my case you are wrong. 95% of my downloads and uploads if not more are legitimately gaming related. Yes, I have utorrent on my computers, and yes I have downloaded the odd movie here and there but not even close to 3gbs worth. For the benefit of the doubt I will say we can push that figure up to 5gb for the two months, not even a 30 day period. I have DSTV etc. It is rare that I want to watch movies. If you have not gather by now I am an avid gamer. It is my hobby. I enjoy playing pixel wars with who-ever I choose.
List of games downloaded in last 30 days, some may have by now fallen out of the throttle window.
Planetscape 2 (free to play 10gbs, may look like a torrent but it is not.) Got rave reviews so I re-installed it.
Rome 2 15 gb (Game sucks but hey-ho)
X-com 10gb (hours of fun)
Divinity 2 8gb (same here)
X- reunion 15gb (a waste but I wanted the set)
X - Prelude 6gb (ditto)
X - Terrain War 8gb (ditto waiting for X-Rebirth)
xl cities 7gb (nice)
Dead space 2 10gb (nice)
medal of honour 12gb (sucks)
Mirrors edge 6gb (interesting)
dead space 3 10gb still to be downloaded
Crysis 2 8gb still to be downloaded
Burnout paradise 6gb (groan)
And a ****load of normal updates for games which can average plus minus between 100m to 3gbs depending on how steam updates
And these do not include the countless other games I have in Steam. I have 74 games in my steam library, trust me you cannot torrent those. lol
Add to that about 20 in my Gamersgate library as well as six or so in my Origin library. (Oh Mweb sponsors Gamersgate so I do not need to tell you how big some of those games are? lol
Plus I actually play the games online!
So, you do the maths, and then accuse someone of being a torrent whore somewhere else please.
Ps War Thunder and World of tanks, forgot to mention them, hell they update on torrent, yeah I know damn Russians, shocking right!. But Mweb is optimized for these very game protocols, sight.
Arma3, I play on your server, a good gaming session of a few hours will chew up close to a gig plus I guess, that’s if you guys are not updating your server which means more downloads for me...
https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly - Really cheap games as long as you do not use Mweb, seriously guys every week they have bargains galore.
For Mr Mwebguy, welcome to the internet revolution, do not say gaming friendly if you are not, and anyone who's business model includes throttling Steam, Gamersgate and Origin is not going to survive.
