Just did that and did exactly what the leaflet said, no go, is the WPS light on the router supposed to flash or turn on at some point?

I also couln't get the range extender to connect, tried with two different WiFi access points. The WPs light on the modem does blink orange when the button is pressed, so it seems to be working.

The modem seems OK, not very configurable though.

Mine doesn't flash at all, it does nothing.
 
Thank you, it's not serious at all, I don't need the range extender, just thought I would let you guys at MWEB know about it.

I do understand your concern.

Sign up and you will get the FON router and extender :D

As for "shared bandwidth", that won't affect you. Your usage is totally independent from the FON hotspot usage. So, if a FON subscriber uses the connection, what they use won't add to you usage at all.

Hi Tornalca

Your home connection will not be affected by the Fon Service as all your home traffic will always be prioritised. The public hotspot that is created will only utilise a portion unused capacity on your connection. This means that your ADSL connection speed and reliability will not be affected.

Hi Mweb Guy. Glad to see you're active - I've addressed you in another thread and still waiting for some kind of reply. Mweb business support (premier@) have not answered my mails yet. Do you know if the mweb incoming mail server is experiencing a sluggish throughput on mails with large attachments (1MB or more) ? Seems to be affecting all of our mweb addresses, from any ISP or means of connectivity that we use. Small mails get through okay, but it hangs on larger mails and completely freezes and times out, the mails just don't come through irrespective of line speed on our side

The benefits to signing up with FON

Uncapped WiFi at more than 750 Always On hotspots
Uncapped WiFi at MWEB WiFi zones
Uncapped WiFi at Fon hotspots locally and internationally

YOu would then also receive a FREE FON router and wireless extender (would extend the range of the wireless signal).
